This series reinterprets breastplates worn by Native Americans
and horseshoes fitted to horses during battle, in a modern style.

These were worn as symbols to inspire oneself
and instill pride during rituals and battles.

WAKAN inherits that spirit, crafting them into rings and bracelets.

The horseshoe motif is adorned with the rope decoration
familiar in Native American jewelry, evoking reins.

In place of nail holes, a diamond-shaped stamp work is engraved.

This diamond pattern is a geometric design in Native American culture
that symbolizes the golden eagle feathers adorning war bonnets.
It is a testament to courage and honor,
and the eagle was believed to soar high, carrying prayers to the heavens.

Transcending its role as a mere adornment,
this piece was created with respect for the Native Americans who once fought,
and with the hope that it will gently ignite a spark in the hearts of all who
continue to face daily challenges in the modern era.
