Among the various facet cuts for diamonds, such as brilliant cut and baguette cut, a rare portrait-cut diamond has been fashioned into a ring.
The name "portrait" comes from its flat and thinly sliced nature, much like the glass of a photo frame.
While it is common for both the crown and pavilion to be sliced flat, this particular piece features facets on the pavilion side.
This allows light to circulate within the diamond and reflect without escaping, creating a shimmering effect.
In addition to the wide table facet's brilliance, the delicate facet cuts on the sides also shine.
This luxurious piece allows you to fully appreciate the interplay of light and shadow.
The gold body has a matte finish, enhancing the diamond's brilliance.
