/// Breastplate ///
A series inspired by Native American breastplates and reinterpreted in a modern style.
Breastplates were worn by Native Americans as chest adornments.

They were worn as a symbol to encourage oneself and engrave pride in one's heart during ceremonies and battles.

At WAKAN, we have inherited that spirit and fashioned them into rings and necklaces.

Instead of holes for nails, we have carved diamond-shaped stampwork.

In Native American culture, this diamond pattern is a geometric symbol representing the golden eagle feathers adorning a warbonnet.
It is a testament to courage and honor,
and the eagle was believed to soar high into the sky, carrying prayers to the heavens.

Beyond being mere adornments,
these pieces are crafted with respect for the Native Americans who once fought,
and with the hope that they will serve as a gentle spark in the hearts of all who continue to face daily challenges in the modern world.
