/// Breastplate ///
A series reinterpreting the breastplates worn by Native Americans with a modern sensibility, drawing inspiration from them.

They were worn as a symbol to rouse oneself and engrave pride in one's heart during rituals and battles.

At WAKAN, we inherited that spirit and fashioned it into rings and necklaces.

Instead of holes for nails, we engraved rhombus-shaped stampwork.

In Native American culture, this rhombus pattern is a geometric motif symbolizing the golden eagle feathers adorning a warbonnet.
It is a testament to courage and honor,
and eagles were believed to soar high into the sky, carrying prayers to the heavens.

Beyond its role as an adornment,
this piece was created with respect for the Native Americans who once fought,
and with the hope that it will gently ignite a spark in the hearts of all who continue to face daily challenges today.
