I wear a size 13 on a finger that usually wears a 12-13. This is a wide ring, but because the palm side is narrow, it doesn't feel tight at all. Once it's on, it feels a little loose. However, I felt a slight catch at the knuckle when putting it on and taking it off, so in my case, it seems better not to size down.
