ネイティブアメリカンが身に着けていた胸飾り
ブレストプレートと、戦いの際に馬に装着された
ホースシューからインスピレーションを得て、現代的に再構築したシリーズ。
儀式や戦いの場で 自らを奮い立たせ、誇りを胸に刻む
象徴として身につけられていました。
WAKANではその精神を受け継ぎ、リングやネックレスにお仕立て。
パーツに刻まれた菱形模様は、ネイティブアメリカン
においてウォーボンネットにあしらわれた
ゴールデンイーグルの羽根を象徴する幾何学模様。
それは 勇気と名誉 の証であり、
イーグルは空高く舞い、祈りを天へ運ぶ存在と信じられてきました。
装飾品としての枠を超えて、
かつて戦ったネイティブアメリカンへの敬意と、
現代もまた日々の困難に立ち向かいながら生きる
すべての人の心に、そっと火を灯すきっかけになることを願って制作されています。
ナバホパールとは、アメリカ先住民ナバホ族の
伝統的な手法で手作りするシルバービーズ。
ホワイトオニキスのビーズと交互に組み合わせました。
見た目以上に軽く、手軽にお楽しみいただけます。
留め具は両パーツの隙間をかみ合わせて留めるオリジナルパーツです。
